This is the Remote Work Life Business Spotlight, where I highlight top remote business innovators and share personal and career development tips to help you navigate the world of remote work. I'm your host, alex Wilson-Campbell. I help remote work managers, professionals and freelancers overcome isolation and uncertainty in their life to get hired and fulfill their career goals. So today I'm looking at Design Lab and you can find them at trydesignlabcom and you'll be able to see what I can see if you hop across to my YouTube channel. But essentially, design Lab is all about online learning and you probably know it's the explosion that is or that's happened over the past couple of years where online learning is concerned, and Design Lab is right at the center of that because they actually help UX or people. They help people who are interested in UX and UI to become design professionals, and it's a platform that helps people to do that. So, very interesting. So, if you want to help people to do that, or indeed, if you want to help people to do that, or indeed, if you want to be that yourself as much as the remote work life business spotlight is all about highlighting the businesses that that do, um, the remote work. Maybe you're interested in design yourself, but what I'm doing today is highlighting design lab as a potential business for you to work for. So explore design lab and have a look to see yourself. You can, as I said, check them out at try design lab dot com. So what I want to do now is look at their about us page to see what they're all about, because what they say about themselves is usually sort of a clue as to the sort of mindset and sort of culture and ideas and identity that they have. So they say we empower creators to work, to do work they love mentor-led online design education with a focus on quality and outcomes. Our mission is to empower creators, and here's a little snapshot. Well, you'll be able to see a snapshot of their team. And here's their CEO, harish Venkatesan. He's the founder and CEO. Also another founder as well Daniel Shapiro, their CTO as well. You can get a view of their team, the sorts of people they hire, the sorts of people they have in their team, and always good to do the research there. Mandy Kerr is their people ops person.

Let's have a look. Head of engineering so different. They've got somebody in support too. So it's a relatively established, pretty well-established team and lots of people involved here. It's a very pretty big team as well. Lots of different areas that they hire for design support here's somebody with red hair support as well. So established in the sense that they've had 13,000 plus students enrolled, 700,000 project submissions, 120,000 one-to-one mentor sessions.

But let's have a look. So I want to see. What I really want to see I'm going to flash through this very quickly is the sort of people that they're hiring for. At the moment, they're hiring full-time and part-time roles in product, in ux and ui, in development. They're also hiring for right for a writer at the moment as well video graphic design. So different people in different sections. So if you're having a look for a remote role, then design Lab could be one for you.
